Urban Resilience and Major City Management Qualification

This is part of a series of programmes we have been running around the subject, and since their establishment last year they have rapidly become recognised as one of the leading forums for the discussion of cutting-edge issues associated with global urban resilience in its myriad forms.

The January course will once again be offered as a Free To Attend programme, with a £200 Certification Fee for those wanting to gain the formal qualification.

Run over five sessions of two hours each, the programme allows for a detailed examination of many of the issues that are at the heart of urban resilience in the second half of the 2020’s.

That includes

  • Understanding the Modern Major City Risk Environment
  • Major Cities as Complex Systems
  • Wicked Problems, Crisis Events and Strategic Multi-Agency Frameworks
  • Preparing for the City of 2030
  • From Vision to Reality: Capability Development + Community Engagement

We will be running the session twice each day, at 08.00-10.00 GMT and 16.00-18.00 GMT to allow people to join whichever time zone they are operating in.

We would be delighted if you could join us if this is an area of interest to you, and please share this with your own networks, who I am sure might have some interest for themselves for what is an opportunity to spend time with a global community of practitioners, academics and policy-makers all facing the same range of challenges, and all of whom are committed to the development of a greater capability to model, prepare for and engage with the critical issues of today, next year and the years to come.
