We are absolutely delighted to see Sutapa Sanyal F.ISRM, long-time friend of ISRM and one of the founders of our Women in Security Sisterhood Group, recognised publicly with Skoch Challenger Award 2021 / India’s Honest Independent Honour.

Sutapa has give a life time of service to the Indian Police Service, culminating in being Director-General of Uttar Pradesh Police Force (the largest police force in the world, responsible for the safety and securityof 200 million citizens).

Since her retirement, Sutapa has been a leading voice for diversity, inclusion, and the empowerment of marginalised communities.

She is an inspirational figure to generations of Indian women as well as to a global audience.

Sutapa will be a featured speaker on our April’s Women in Security Roundtable.
