Level 5 Award in Terrorism Prevention and Management – October 2025

Recent events have reminded us of once again, if such a reminder was needed, that terrorism is something that can strike against any target at any time.

The response to the Manchester Synagogue attack could have been far worse were it not for the swift actions of the Community Security Trust volunteers and Greater Manchester Police.

As always, there are multiple lessons to be learned, but the fundamental one is  that the best defence against terrorism is strong, effective effective security measures carried out by people who properly trained.

The ISRM Level 5 Award in Terrorism Prevention and Management has become recognised as one of the leading professional qualifications in the sector.

It brings together years of experience, global best practices, practical frameworks and protocols as well as effective guidelines and playbooks – all of which can be utilised immediately by any organisation, regardless of size, scope, or operating environment.

The programme examines lessons learned from major terrorist incidents in recent years and allows participants to explore both preventative measures and the challenges they may face in the event of an attack.

To accommodate participants across different time zones the course is being run twice daily.
