ISRM at the 3rd International Conference on Critical Infrastructure in Belgrade

The Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) participated in the 3rd International Conference on Critical Infrastructure, “Risk and Crisis Management in the New Reality”, held on 16th – 17th October 2025 in Belgrade. The event was organized by the Center for Risk Analysis and Crisis Management (CARUK), founded and presided over by Dr Zoran Keković, ISRM South East Europe Chapter Chair, with the support of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia. Dr David Rubens delivered a keynote presentation.

Dr Rubens’ talk, “Infrastructure Security and the New Paradigm: Risks, Threats and Opportunities”, addressed urgent challenges facing critical infrastructure and offered practical strategies for resilience at global, national and community levels.

The conference provided an opportunity for ISRM to connect with Serbian and international experts, exchange knowledge and strengthen its presence in the region. Building on this engagement, ISRM is exploring opportunities to launch collaborative programmes with the University of Belgrade in early 2026, further deepening academic and professional partnerships in risk and crisis management.

We thank the organizers, participants and partners for a successful event and look forward to expanding our work in Serbia, supporting innovation, collaboration and resilient infrastructure systems.

We were happy to meet up with Alexey Varfolomeev, Chairman of the ASIS Serbia Chapter.

We are looking forward to exploring options for collaboration with Alexey and the ASIS community in 2026.
